Côte d'Ivoire's national lottery operator has finished a five-stop tour of its regional network, ending with a meeting in Korhogo on 28 October.

LONACI's Sales and Network Management Department ran the programme, which also covered Aboisso, Abengourou, Yamoussoukro and Bouaké.

What the meetings covered

Area supervisor Khalil Coulibaly oversaw the Korhogo session, where activity coordinators presented their action plans, reviewed third-quarter performance and set out the problems they had hit in their own areas.

Beyond the review, the focus was on making coordinators clearer about their responsibilities and sharper at monitoring the commercial sub-zones they are each accountable for.

A separate meeting with concessionaires examined third-quarter commercial performance in the Korhogo zone, and gave them room to raise operational concerns directly with LONACI representatives. Local zone heads took part, along with Ganda Djatou, described by LONACI as supervising support, and Sanogo Lassina, head of the Indoor Games Department.

Why a lottery runs a network tour

A state lottery's revenue depends on a physical distribution network of agents and concessionaires spread across the country. Those outlets are the product.

Tightening how that network is supervised is therefore a commercial exercise, not just an administrative one, which is why the department framed the tour around responsiveness to partners.

The regional context

Francophone lottery operators have been strengthening institutional structures through this kind of operator-level work. Senegal's LONASE has been tightening governance and hosting Niger's lottery for a knowledge exchange, while Kenya is building a national lottery from scratch, as our report on its end-2027 target sets out. The tour was reported by Focus Gaming News.
