SA Gambling Regulator Introduces New Player Protection Rules 2026
The Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board has introduced mandatory deposit limits. Full breakdown of the new regulations.
The WCGRB has introduced the most comprehensive player protection regulations in South Africa. Effective 1 July 2026, licensed operators must implement mandatory deposit limits, 24-hour cooling-off periods, and a national self-exclusion database.
Non-compliance carries fines of up to R5 million per violation.
